Hypalon

Hypalon is a trademark for a synthetic rubber known for its resistance to temperature extremes, ultraviolet light and chemicals. Hypalon was developed for products designed for extreme use such as whitewater rafts, protective suits and other outdoor equipment. It is also used on the surface of modern snowshoes, replacing neoprene as a lighter and stronger alternative.

It was developed by DuPont Laboratories.
