Acepac Mini Bar Roll MKIII - compact 5-7 L bikepacking handlebar bag

Mini Bar Roll MKIII is a compact cylindrical bikepacking handlebar bag with an adjustable capacity of 5-7 litres. It uses the same proven concept as the larger Bar Roll, but in a smaller and lighter format suitable for shorter trips, minimalist setups or bikes where you want to keep more space around the handlebars.

Durable Nylon Robic with a PU coating rated to 1,500 mm H₂O is complemented by a removable waterproof Nylon RipStop liner with a 5,000 mm H₂O PU coating and taped seams. The double-sided roll-top closure allows the size of the bag to be adjusted to the amount of gear carried.

5-7 litres in a compact format

Mini Bar Roll is designed for riders who do not need a large handlebar bag but still want to carry a lightweight sleeping bag, clothing or other compact equipment securely.

Thanks to the double-sided roll-top closure, the length and capacity of the bag can be adapted to the load. A smaller amount of gear can be compressed into a more compact package, while the full available space can be used when needed.

Double-sided roll-top closure

The main compartment can be accessed from both sides. Both openings use a roll-top closure with Nifco buckles that are easy to operate even while wearing cycling gloves and are designed to function at temperatures down to approximately -20 °C.

Once rolled, the buckles can be fastened at the opening in the same way as on a classic drybag. This makes it easy to compress the load and adapt the shape of the bag to the amount of gear inside.

Water protection: the inner liner is waterproof

The outer bag is made from lightweight and durable Nylon Robic with a PU coating rated to 1,500 mm H₂O, helping protect the contents from light rain, splashing water and dirt.

Waterproof protection is provided by the removable Nylon RipStop liner with a 5,000 mm H₂O PU coating and taped seams. We recommend using it for a sleeping bag, clothing and other moisture-sensitive gear.

The removable liner also makes packing easier. You can pack your gear away from the bike and then place the entire liner inside the Mini Bar Roll.

Reinforced where it matters

Areas that may come into contact with the brake and shift levers are reinforced with a second layer of nylon fabric and Hypalon. A lightweight HDPE panel between the spacer straps adds structural support while keeping the overall weight low.

Before every ride, make sure the loaded bag does not interfere with the brake or shift levers, place excessive pressure on cables or hydraulic hoses, and that there is sufficient clearance above the front wheel.

Stable attachment without strap slippage

The polypropylene mounting straps have a textured surface that helps reduce slipping through the buckles. The buckles are fitted with Camlok locks to help keep the selected strap length securely in place while riding.

The straps and buckles are more compact than those used on the larger Bar Roll MKIII, matching the smaller capacity of the bag while maintaining the required strength.

Carry additional gear on the outside

A webbing chain is positioned on the underside of the bag beneath the compression straps. It can be used to secure additional lightweight equipment, such as tent poles, outside the main compartment.

High-stress seams are reinforced with Bartack stitching, while thicker polyester threads are used to increase the strength of the construction.

Extra storage with the Bar Bag MKIII

If you want to keep food, a phone, gloves or other small essentials within easy reach while riding, you can also attach the Acepac Bar Bag MKIII to the Mini Bar Roll.

The Mini Bar Roll can then carry bulkier gear, while frequently used items remain easily accessible in the front bag.

Mini Bar Roll or Bar Roll?

Mini Bar Roll MKIII is ideal for a lighter and more compact setup with a capacity of 5-7 L. It is well suited to shorter bikepacking trips, gravel riding or riders who do not need to carry a large amount of gear on the handlebars.

If you need more room for a sleeping bag, clothing and additional gear on longer trips, the larger Bar Roll MKIII offers an adjustable capacity of 8-16 L.
