Zip Frame Bag L MKIII is a spacious 4.5 L frame bag designed for bikepacking, longer rides and everyday cycling. It makes efficient use of the space inside the frame triangle and provides room for tools, spare parts, food, electronics, lightweight clothing and other gear.

Durable Nylon Robic with a PU coating rated to 1,500 mm H₂O is complemented by a padded perimeter that helps the bag maintain its shape and reduces direct pressure from the contents against the frame. A long water-resistant YKK zipper with two sliders allows access from either side of the bag.

4.5 litres for gear on longer rides

The 4.5 L capacity provides plenty of space for equipment you want to carry inside the frame triangle. Keeping part of the load low and close to the centre of the bike can also help maintain balanced handling, especially when bikepacking.

The shape of the bag follows the space beneath the top tube. Before ordering, we recommend comparing its dimensions with your specific frame, especially if you want to continue using bottle cages at the same time.

Access from both sides with two zipper sliders

The long water-resistant YKK zipper with two sliders allows you to open the bag from either side and reach the section of gear you need without opening the entire compartment.

The zipper pullers and garages are made from Hypalon, providing good durability and easy grip even while wearing gloves.

Padded perimeter helps the bag hold its shape

The perimeter of the bag is reinforced with a more durable fabric and padded with foam. This helps the bag maintain its shape even when only partially loaded and prevents the contents from pressing directly against the bike frame.

The padding also provides partial protection against vibration and movement of the gear inside while riding.

Organised interior

The long opening provides good access to the entire main compartment. A bright-coloured inner lining makes it easier to see the contents, while an internal mesh section helps separate smaller items from the rest of your gear.

This is useful for cables, compact tools, energy gels and other smaller equipment that might otherwise move freely inside the main compartment.

7 Velcro straps for different frame geometries

Zip Frame Bag L MKIII attaches to the frame using 7 Velcro straps. The straps are supplied in a longer length and can be trimmed after fitting the bag to your specific bike.

The front of the bag also features a polypropylene strap with a Duraflex buckle, adding extra support to the main attachment system.

Before trimming the straps, we recommend loading the bag, fitting it to the bike and checking the final position carefully. Once shortened, the straps may no longer fit a different frame.

Hydration hose port

A hydration hose port is positioned at the front of the bag beneath the top tube. If you carry a compatible hydration bladder inside the bag, the hose can be routed outside without leaving the main zipper partly open.

This is particularly useful on longer rides when you want to carry part of your water supply inside the frame triangle.

Reinforced seams for long-term use

High-stress attachment points are reinforced with Bartack stitching. Thicker polyester threads are used to improve seam strength in areas exposed to repeated load and vibration.

Water-repellent, not waterproof

Nylon Robic with a PU coating rated to 1,500 mm H₂O and the water-resistant YKK zipper help protect the contents from light rain, splashing water and dirt.

The bag is not fully waterproof. During prolonged or heavy rain, we recommend protecting electronics, clothing and other moisture-sensitive gear in a separate waterproof pouch.

Zip Frame Bag M or L?

Zip Frame Bag L MKIII offers a capacity of 4.5 L and a length of up to 48 cm. It is suitable for larger frames or riders who want to make use of as much space as possible beneath the top tube.

For smaller frames or a more compact setup, the Zip Frame Bag M MKIII offers a capacity of 3.7 L, a weight of 190 g and a length of up to 40 cm.
