Bar Roll MKIII is a spacious cylindrical bikepacking handlebar bag with an adjustable capacity of 8-16 litres. Thanks to the double-sided roll-top closure, you can adapt its size to the amount of gear you are carrying. It is ideal for a sleeping bag, clothing and other lightweight equipment.

Durable Nylon Robic with a PU coating rated to 1,500 mm H₂O is complemented by a removable waterproof liner made from Nylon RipStop with a 5,000 mm H₂O PU coating and taped seams. The bag can be mounted on a wide range of handlebars, while high-wear areas are reinforced with an additional layer of material.

Adjustable 8-16 L capacity with double-sided roll-top closure

Bar Roll MKIII does not need to be filled to its maximum capacity. Both ends of the bag feature a roll-top closure, allowing you to adjust the volume from approximately 8 to 16 litres depending on the amount of gear inside.

Depending on how far the ends are rolled, the overall length of the bag ranges from approximately 30 to 60 cm. A smaller load can therefore be compressed into a more compact package, while longer trips allow you to make use of the full available capacity.

Roll-top closure that is easy to operate with gloves

The double-sided roll-top closure is fitted with Nifco buckles that are easy to operate even while wearing cycling gloves. The buckles are designed for use at temperatures down to -20 °C.

After rolling the ends, the buckles can be fastened at the opening in the same way as on a classic drybag. The roll-top design also makes it easy to adapt the shape of the bag to the current load.

Water protection: the inner liner is waterproof

The outer part of the Bar Roll is made from lightweight and durable Nylon Robic with a PU coating rated to 1,500 mm H₂O. The material helps protect the contents from rain, splashing water and dirt, but the outer bag itself is not considered fully waterproof.

Waterproof protection for your gear is provided primarily by the removable inner liner made from Nylon RipStop with a 5,000 mm H₂O PU coating and taped seams. We recommend using it especially for moisture-sensitive gear such as a sleeping bag or spare clothing.

The separate liner also makes packing easier. You can pack your gear away from the bike and then place the entire liner inside the Bar Roll.

Reinforced where it comes into contact with the bike

Areas that may come into contact with the head tube, brake levers or shift levers are reinforced with a second layer of Nylon Robic. This helps the construction withstand repeated abrasion and stress during riding.

Before every ride, make sure the bag does not interfere with the brake or shift levers, place excessive pressure on cables or hydraulic hoses, and that there is sufficient clearance above the front wheel.

Straps designed to stay securely in place

The polypropylene straps have a textured surface that helps reduce slipping through the buckles. The strap material is also 100% recyclable.

High-stress seams are reinforced with Bartack stitching, while thicker polyester threads are used to increase the strength of the construction.

Extra storage with the Bar Bag MKIII

If you want to keep food, gloves, electronics or other small essentials within easy reach while riding, you can also attach the Acepac Bar Bag MKIII to the Bar Roll.

Bulkier gear can stay inside the Bar Roll, while frequently used items remain easily accessible in the front bag. Together, the two products create a practical modular storage system for the handlebars.

Easier transport off the bike

A webbing chain on the underside of the bag allows the Bar Roll to be attached, for example, to the side compression straps of a backpack.

This is useful when moving through difficult terrain and temporarily removing the bag from the handlebars, or when transporting the bike by train or other means of transport.
