Acepac Saddle Harness MKII – mounting system for a bikepacking saddle bag
Saddle Harness MKII is a durable under-saddle mounting system designed to create a modular bikepacking saddle bag. A suitable drybag or other gear bag can be secured inside the harness, while the mounting system itself can remain attached to the bike.
The construction is made from strong Nylon 6.6 and reinforced with an HDPE plate and aluminium alloy reinforcement, which help maintain the shape and stability of the system under load. The harness was designed for drybags with a capacity of 8 or 16 litres, but it can also be used with other suitable bags or drybags.

A modular solution for bikepacking
The main advantage of the Saddle Harness system is the separation of the mounting structure from the storage bag itself. The harness can remain attached under the saddle while you remove only the bag containing your gear.
This is particularly useful on multi-day trips – you can pack your gear away from the bike, place the bag into the harness and secure it with the straps. There is no need to remove the entire mounting system every time you pack or unpack.
The drybag is not included.

For 8 L or 16 L bags
Saddle Harness MKII was designed for use with drybags in 8 L or 16 L sizes. One mounting system can therefore accommodate different amounts of gear depending on the length and nature of your trip.
A smaller drybag is ideal for a more compact bikepacking setup, while a 16 L version provides more space for a sleeping bag, clothing and other lightweight equipment on multi-day trips.
The harness is not limited to the original drybag – its construction also allows you to use another suitable bag or drybag, provided it can be securely fixed with the straps.

Nylon 6.6, HDPE and aluminium reinforcement for stability
The main material of the Saddle Harness MKII is durable Nylon 6.6. The construction is reinforced with a rigid HDPE plate and aluminium alloy reinforcement, which help the system maintain its shape and provide support for the loaded bag.
The result is a stable base for carrying gear under the saddle, designed to withstand the demands of bikepacking and off-road riding.

Reinforced stitching for long-term use
High-stress seams are reinforced with Bartack stitching, while thicker polyester threads are used to increase the strength of the connections.
The areas exposed to the greatest stress from riding and repeated tightening of the straps therefore receive additional reinforcement.
Black and Grey versions
On versions produced from 2021 onwards, the original top buckle was replaced with an aluminium hook. On the Grey version, the buckle colour combination was also changed to grey-grey.

Make sure there is enough clearance above the rear wheel
After installation, always check that there is sufficient clearance between the loaded system and the rear wheel. On full-suspension bikes, the full travel of the rear suspension must be taken into account, as well as the movement of a dropper post where applicable.
