Saddle Drybag MKIII is a lightweight waterproof drybag available in 8 or 16 litres that forms the storage compartment of the modular bikepacking saddle bag system with the Acepac Saddle Harness. Together, they provide a practical solution for carrying clothing, a sleeping bag and other gear on bikepacking trips.

Durable Nylon with TPU lamination, taped seams and a roll-top closure protect the contents from water. The drybag can be easily removed from the harness, packed away from the bike and also used independently as a waterproof gear bag whenever needed.

8 or 16 litres to suit your trip

Saddle Drybag MKIII is available in two sizes – 8 L and 16 L. The smaller version is ideal for a more compact bikepacking setup or shorter trips, while the 16 L version provides more space for gear on multi-day adventures.

The roll-top closure allows the drybag to be compressed according to the amount of gear inside. You do not need to fill it completely – by rolling the closure down properly, you can adapt the final size to your current load.

Waterproof protection for your gear

The main material is Nylon with TPU lamination – a lightweight and durable fabric suitable for waterproof drybags. The construction is complemented by taped seams, which prevent water from entering through the stitched areas.

The drybag closes with a roll-top closure. When properly rolled several times and secured, it provides waterproof protection for the gear inside.

This is especially useful for moisture-sensitive equipment such as a sleeping bag or spare clothing that needs to stay dry throughout your trip.

Part of a modular saddle bag system

Saddle Drybag MKIII is designed for use with the Acepac Saddle Harness. Together, they form a modular bikepacking saddle bag: the harness remains attached to the bike while the waterproof drybag can be easily removed whenever needed.

This system makes packing and handling your gear easier. You can pack the drybag away from the bike and then simply place it into the harness. Once you reach your destination, you can remove the drybag without having to take the entire mounting system off the saddle.

The Saddle Harness is not included and must be purchased separately.

Use the drybag on its own

Once removed from the saddle harness, the Saddle Drybag works as a standalone waterproof gear bag. You can use it to organise and protect equipment while travelling or as an inner waterproof bag inside other luggage.

Separating the drybag from the mounting system is also practical when staying overnight or bivouacking – simply take your gear with you while the harness remains on the bike.

Lightweight construction, durable build

High-stress areas are reinforced with Bartack stitching, while thicker polyester threads are used to increase the strength of the construction.

A webbing chain on the underside of the drybag provides additional attachment options, for example to the side compression straps of a backpack. This can be useful when moving through difficult terrain or when transporting your bike and gear.
