Acepac Saddle Bag MKIII – 8–16 L bikepacking saddle bag
Saddle Bag MKIII is a spacious bikepacking saddle bag with an adjustable volume of 8–16 litres, designed for trips where you need to carry more gear on your bike. It is ideal for clothing, a sleeping bag and other lightweight or soft items that easily adapt to the shape of a saddle bag.
Thanks to the roll-top closure and compression straps, the size of the bag can be adjusted to match the amount of gear you are carrying. Inside, there is a removable waterproof liner with taped seams and a roll-top closure, which protects your gear from water when properly rolled and closed.

Adjustable 8–16 L capacity for different loads
Not every trip requires the same amount of gear. Saddle Bag MKIII therefore offers an adjustable volume from 8 to 16 litres. For shorter rides, you can compress it into a more compact shape, while longer bikepacking trips allow you to make full use of its maximum capacity.
The roll-top closure together with three compression straps lets you adapt the bag to the amount of gear inside while keeping the load compact and secure. The bag therefore does not need to be completely full to maintain a stable shape.
Stable attachment even with a larger load
The saddle bag attaches to the seatpost and saddle rails. Contact areas are reinforced with Hypalon – a highly abrasion-resistant material with excellent grip that helps reduce unwanted movement of the bag.
The straps are fitted with high-quality Nifco and Duraflex buckles. They are designed for easy handling even while wearing cycling gloves and remain functional at temperatures below −20 °C. This makes them suitable not only for regular bikepacking but also for riding in cold winter conditions.
Together with the three compression straps, the attachment system helps keep the bag stable even when riding off-road.
Always make sure there is sufficient clearance between the bag and the rear tyre after installation. On full-suspension bikes, the movement of the rear suspension must also be taken into account.

Water protection: waterproof liner with roll-top closure
The outer part of the bag is made from Nylon Robic with a PU coating rated to 1,500 mm H₂O. The material helps protect the contents from rain, splashing water and dirt, but the outer bag itself is not considered fully waterproof.
The main protection against water is provided by the removable inner liner made from Nylon RipStop with a PU coating rated to 5,000 mm H₂O and taped seams. It features a roll-top closure which, when properly rolled several times and closed, provides a waterproof seal.
The separate liner also makes packing easier – you can pack your gear away from the bike and then simply place the entire liner inside the saddle bag.

Reinforced where it matters most
Areas exposed to the greatest wear around the seatpost and saddle are reinforced with Hypalon. High-stress seams are reinforced with Bartack stitching, while thicker polyester threads are used to increase the strength of the construction.
The bag is therefore designed to cope with the conditions bikepacking gear faces in real use – vibration, shifting loads, dust, mud and repeated mounting and removal from the bike.

Attach additional gear on the outside
The top of the bag features four straps, each with three attachment loops. These can be used to secure additional lightweight gear or attach a rear light.
There is also a webbing chain on the underside of the bag, allowing it to be attached, for example, to the compression straps of a backpack. This is useful when you need to push or carry the bike through difficult terrain or transport it by other means.
